This exciting new initiative empowers NHSPS employees to fundraise, volunteer, and nominate causes that matter to them, making a real impact in their communities. Previously, fundraising was focused on a single charity partner, with teams across the country encouraged to support one central cause.
In response to colleague feedback, NHSPS and Crowdfunder have worked together to create a more inclusive and flexible approach. Employees were invited to nominate causes they care about, from grassroots community projects in their own areas to national charities making a broader impact. This collaborative process ensures that the chosen causes truly reflect the passions and priorities of the NHSPS workforce.
Fundraising efforts can now support both local and national initiatives, with all donations processed securely through the Crowdfunder platform. This removes the need for employees to handle funds directly while giving every campaign a clear place within the wider NHSPS Community Fund. The result is a transparent, unified campaign that showcases the collective difference being made.Crucially, this programme is also designed to inspire more NHSPS team members to get involved. By giving colleagues a voice in selecting the causes and the tools to lead their own fundraising efforts, it opens up a nationwide opportunity for healthcare professionals to support long-term aims of the NHS, focusing on communities they know and care about.
NHS Property Services owns and manages thousands of NHS facilities across the UK, from GP surgeries to hospitals. With a strong focus on corporate social responsibility, NHSPS backs health-based community initiatives that reduce strain on NHS services and address pressing social needs.
